New year, new upgrades

Updated: Oct 31, 2018

BCA had so many exciting developments over the summer that we can't share them with you all! Here are a few to get the year started off right.

Our first exciting update is adding Debbie Seagraves to our staff. Mrs. Seagraves has brought art into full swing for our K-8th graders! We are blessed to have such a talented, sought after elementary & middle school art teacher calling BCA home.

Mrs. Seagraves majored in elementary education with a minor in art at Shippensburg State College in PA. She taught elementary school for 30 years. Debbie is married to Al Seagraves, former head football coach at Elon University. They have three children, a daughter and two sons, and six grandchildren, two girls and four boys, aged two through seven. Debbie and Albert attend St. Mark's Church.

“I feel very strongly that God brought me to BCA and am blessed to be a part of such a wonderful environment!”

She substitute taught here for the 2016-2017 school year and mentioned that she would love to get the art program on track again. Debbie enjoys painting, reading, and doing needle crafts in her spare time.

Please stop by & welcome Mrs Seagraves to her classroom on the 1st grade hallway in C building.

New Basketball Goals

Another upgrade to our campus, that has our students cheering, are new basketball goals on the MS/HS blacktop area! The permanent basketball goals have taken break & lunchtime to an all new level of competitive fun.

Our elementary students are raving about the upgrade as well since their playground received one of the previously used goals as well!

New Hot Lunch Options

A larger variety of hot lunch options is being brought to students this year! We kept some favorites and added on some new restaurants to choose from. Hope on over to the Parents Portal for more information on ordering!

  • Monday - Subway

  • Tuesday - Chick-fil-A

  • Wednesday - Hursey's Bar-B-Q

  • Thursday - Cici's Pizza

  • Friday - Moe's

Hope those tummies love the hot meal options this year so parents can take a break from the lunchbox making challenge!

There are lots of things happening in and around the BCA campus this year. We look forward to sharing more as the year unfolds.

Blessings & love to you and yours.
